Founded in 2021, PICCASO is a not‑for‑profit special interest group led by dedicated volunteers passionate about supporting professionals and organisations across the entire data spectrum. Our focus spans Privacy, Information Security, Compliance, Culture, AI, Strategy, and Operations - reflecting the growing breadth, depth, and interconnectivity of modern data governance.

From professionals navigating intricate regulatory environments to academics, engineers, and innovators advancing thought leadership and technical solutions, the Awards celebrate the people shaping the future of data, privacy, information security, and compliance. With 25 award categories, the programme recognises individuals, teams, and software platforms redefining best practice across sectors, highlighting achievement in areas such as legal compliance, communications, ethical governance, and strategic leadership.

As part of our wider community mission, the PICCASO Special Interest Group fosters meaningful and practical conversations through a broad range of initiatives, including events, thought‑leadership papers, labs, webinars, and the Awards themselves.
